Investigation of the Halochemical Composition of Soils (Kazygurt District Case)

This article explores the halochemical (haloindication) composition of soils in the Kazygurt district of the Turkistan region, Republic of Kazakhstan. During the study, soil samples were collected from various geomorphological zones of the district and analyzed for mineralization, electrical conductivity, and pH. Based on the laboratory results, the degree and type of soil salinization were assessed. In most samples, the salt concentration was found to be below the hazardous level. Using ArcGIS software, maps of landscape and geochemical zoning of the Kazygurt district were developed, along with a haloindication parameter map. The results of the study enabled an evaluation of anthropogenic impacts on soils and the spatial distribution patterns of salinization. Recommendations were also provided for preserving soil fertility and using soils effectively in agriculture. The results of the study form a scientific basis aimed at enhancing the ecological stability of the region and ensuring the rational management of land resources.
