Abstract

The article examines current educational technologies for teaching the social geography section of the school geography curriculum. It analyzes the effectiveness of innovative pedagogical methods and interactive approaches used in teaching social geography. In addition, the possibilities for increasing students' cognitive activity through problem- ic teaching, the project method, game technologies, and the use of information and communication technologies are shown. Teaching social geography contributes to students' understanding of the interconnections between society and nature, their analysis of socio-economic processes, and the development of their spatial thinking abilities. The research results show that using innovative technologies in the current educational context increases students' interest in the subject and allows them to develop their research skills.
