This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the hydrogeological formation conditions, hydrogeochemical features, spatial distribution and rational use of springs in the Tashkent Region. The relevance of the study is associated with the increasing demand for freshwater resources and the need to preserve the ecological stability of natural water sources in mountain and foothill areas. The aim of the research is to analyze the natural-geographical, geological, climatic and anthropogenic factors influencing the formation of springs in the region. The study applies field observations, spring discharge measurements, comparative analysis of hydrochemical characteristics, statistical processing and spatial assessment using GIS technologies. The results show that most springs are concentrated within the Chatkal–Kurama mountain system and adjacent foothill belts. Their waters are mainly of the hydrocarbonate-calcium type, characterized by low mineralization and are generally suitable for drinking purposes. At the same time, some areas show a risk of water quality deterioration due to agriculture, urbanization and tourism pressure. The study recommends systematic monitoring, the establishment of sanitary protection zones and the strengthening of sustainable management measures for spring resources.
