Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive assessment of the medical-geographical condition of the territory of the Turkestan Region for the period 2020–2023. Based on the systemic approach proposed by Evgeny Ivanovich Ignatyev, an analysis was conducted of the region’s natural comfort, its geochemical characteristics, the level of climatic severity (according to Bodman’s formula), and the relationship between socio-economic determinants and population morbidity rates using statistical and correlation analysis methods. As a result of the study, medical-geographical zoning of 17 administrative units of the region was carried out, levels of health risk were differentiated, and scientifically grounded recommendations were developed for the territorial optimization of healthcare infrastructure and the improvement of preventive measures in priority areas. Using GIS technologies, spatio-temporal analytical maps were compiled. In addition, the study identified the long-term dynamics of medical and demographic indicators and determined the spatial patterns of their relationships with natural-climatic and socio-economic factors. The research results characterized the medical-geographical structure of the region through cartographic modeling and made it possible to determine the patterns of spatial organization of regional health risks.
